I, 'Onks' had a great time reflecting way back at varsity, year 2006. The first semester task when we had to free our hand movements by scribbling on a huge paper. I found the exercise interesting as i began to control my pencil strokes freely & smoothly. I did this drawing as a tribute to that basic yet powerful exercise... I hope the world enjoys it...

NARROW CHANNELS

Well, finally am in Bots and by that seeking ways to handle CG works down here. It as well a great inspiration when I get an offer at Saatchi & Saatchi Botswana through these narrow channels of employment…I didn’t consider it anything apart from fruits of my better portfolio. I understand to some my portfolio is not that appealing and creative but the fact lies with competition per country. Botswana is a still developing country in many aspects of fields, but we do have lot of degree graduates without jobs strolling towns and cities. To get a chance in this tight market requires nothing but to be little outstanding to the rest. The country still believes in Curriculum Vitae, Decades of experiences and stuffs, but you do a little sneaky thing to capture their attention, you won them surely.

Let me highlight about my peers. One observation that I realized in most guys and girls from creative fields is we don’t take it seriously. I know it’s that challenging to be that “wow” creative folk, but the way most of us compete is not according to the international standard and not even close neither national to the current era of lifestyle and rapid Tech. I guess by doing that we could be better to change this scenario in Botswana. You find that our portfolio become inappropriate to be seen by employers since they still believe in CVs but I guess if the portfolio is that attractive, we could differentiate ourselves from other folks from areas of Public administrations, Finance, IT and PRs..cause they do not need creative portfolio but CVs and experience.

HERE I AM

Here for neither good nor bad…I still do what I am entrusted to. Home sweet home. It is a pleasure indeed to have obtained this moment of being part of the team and playing with giants. Saatchi and Saatchi plus Orange are world giants just to mention few. The fact that it has been a dream and its still a dream for my fellow peers to have chance to showcase their part of creative pieces accompanied by these brands is a bonus. WORK ON PROGRESS

One of the first clips i did using trax animation. The background wasn't really gonna be black, is only that my trial got expired before i complete the clip. By the way i played with tittle to suit the video view. I hope u will enjoy it. I love the music track!!



Wow...sometimes its cool to appreciate your progress. That's my first animation trial using micro media flash....and that was 3 years ago. I hope i will someday edit movies and stuffs.. thats why i did a bit of how will it look like..in my future studio projects.



Nah! actually in this Strut clip, Strut himself is not my model, it's made by a hell group of Guys, i was surprised and since they let me to use it i carry on and thats their credit here;

Story telling and technology are one of the elements i wish to master on animation.Galaxy Glide shows this simple story about Aliens technology, the universe code. I like the fact that the storyline and flow makes sense of what i was trying to portray. Even though i haven't sat down and plan the story. The only things that i remember was creating characters, Squirrel and Alien ship,( Actually they have different roles of clips). I imagined the storyline when i was waiting to catch my sleep on my Bed in the morning around 7am( The time that i mostly go for bed, haha! You know, holiday and self learning results!)

In many cases its a bad idea to start a short without a proper storyboard and planning. In this Clip i have suffered a lot because of missing this rules( the rule No:1 s of planning a short film animation), i had to animate and keep going back to extend and cut of some poses, camera angles and most importantly actions.

Off coarse in the first place animation didn't have anything to do with Gordon Kalahari Galaxy Research tittles or something. Just after i finish my animation, i went for sound editing and thats when i figure out that the story would be better if there is a proper beginning and credits at the end. I didn't waste any time and thought of Botswana as the main center of this Alien eradication. I was happy at the end to see how fast and easy i can make something with a promising sense, and i said "what about if i had enough time and strong storyboard?"

FINALLY MY BOYS!!

Yeah!! After such a long time guys!! hei! i have been deep in hell of lots of things to do. by the way am back for more updates. This time i come with good news. Am happy that my boys are ready now. You know why i haven't turn on, ha, guess what! I locked my self inside my mini studio and i said, 'Crine, make sure you damn model, rig and finish this guys first, then u can show up to people,'. Yes! here i am with the promise. The boys are ready and i made a simple clip using my voice to test the rig, its hell working awesome no,mmm! but to be honest guys! i went through a lot , it wasn't that simple, i had many times re-doing, imagine that situation. But am happy i didn't give up or quit.


Bad news now. Actually the boys have their storyboard to animate. But i couldn't cause it was already late, the semester has began, so ei! i had to put that aside, didn't wanna mess up with final semester of my graduation. Ahh! i hope i will still find time and continue my boys journey! Don't forget,'they are naughty,' Ok! so funny things is going on with them, get ready for their short film soon. Chao!!..lol...!!

Funny two characters..always having troubles with their explorations..Currently am animating these clip...but i hate these watermarked software..broke to get real one indeed..i believe interior textures sucks...actually am just having fun with exploring deep weird old details of textures..will suit it later..enjoy!!

From Desert Life to Globalizatiion

mm!!....its been long but short journey. When i imagine where am from and where am going, it will sound unbelievable in your eyes..but what matters is destination.
I fight day and night to reach the target!!

Being exposed to oversea studies taught me lot of things that i have never imagined to experience. All these aspects brought huge Quench to my dry knowledge. The exposure and openest that i used in approaching lot of different people added more advantage to international confidence. For now, i live with very high perspective towards these global competence, especially when it comes to art and design.

TRADITIONAL ART

'wow'....when it comes to real hand natural expression i truly become holy. I believe the unique creativity comes to what real hands can really apply(curve, twist, measure and control).....and thats ..'life' application, when everybody will be able to see, feel and touch those textures

Art to me is kind of bond that has been created before i was born...sometimes when i look at my digital art, whether there is a great effects, lighting or any awesome digital effect... i never feel much cheerful as compared to looking at my real hand applications, real look of any curve i would have created, with well mind mixed and eye gauged colors...they always bring me close to earth. I feel existence through art. I interpret my purpose of life through such naturalism.

One of my beloved painting....It follows conceptual expression of my bright culture of 'Tswana'. Its a series... but the other one is a male dancer. It could be up here, it's just that they still have pending exhibition in nearby future, so revealing them will be a bit harsh to my kept surprises.
